Ajay Maruti Kadam is a BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) certified coach, having completed his Level 1 in 2004 under the aegis of MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) and has attended the Level A Refresher (MCA recognized) course in 2010.

Kadam is one of the lucky few who have got the opportunity to attend fielding sessions conducted by the fielding maestro Jonty Rhodes.
