Description

Vyas Sangeet Vidyalaya is a well-known music school (Regd.) conducting the classes of Indian Classical Music. Both Vocal and Instrumental such as Harmonium, Tabla, Violin, Sitar since last 73 years and newly started western music instruments such as Guitar, Keyboard (Piano/Casio) of western staff notations, Vocal Light and Flute(Bansuri) in Indian Classical in the area of Dadar(West), Mumbai.

SITAR

Shri Prabhakar K.Kulkarni is a sitar teacher in our institution since 1978. He is a Sangeet Visharad from ABGMM in sitar. He took his lessons of sitar in Vyas Sangeet Vidyalaya from his Guru Shri. Chintaman (Chiman) K.Abhyankar. He performed in Brahman Sahayak Sangh, Sangeet Shikshak Sangh,Mumbai; therein he performed with Shri. Ajit Kadkade. He is looking after the entire day-to-day working of the institution alongwith handling efficiently the ABGMM examination schedules, as a centre in-charge since last 40 years.

Harmonium

Shri. Vilas L. Kundekar is a teacher for Indian Classical vocal and Sangeet Visharad in harmonium. He is into teaching profession in Vyas Sangeet Vidyalaya since 2001; also teaching in Pragati Vidyalaya since 2005, since 2002 in ‘Swar-taal’ vidyamandir.

Violin

Ms.Shalaka Ravindra Deshpande, B.Sc(Botany) She is a Visharad Pratham in Vocal as well as in Violin. She is a teacher for violin in Vyas Sangeet Vidyalaya since June, 2011. She acquired the knowledge of Indian classical vocal from Shri. Dassakkar (Titwala) and the lessons of violin from Shri.Milind Raikar (Andheri). She has performed in various programmes arranged by Raikar Academy of Violin, Group Violin at Dinanath Natya Griha in 2009, Dadar-Matunga Cultural Centre in April, 2011.she provides private coaching of violin.

TABLA

Shri. Arun L. Kundekar is a tabla teacher in our institution since 2001. He is a (tabla) Sangeet Visharad from ABGMM. He got Tabla Diploma and Tabla B.F.A. degrees from Mumbai University. He is currently teaching in Paranjape Music Academy, private coaching in ‘Swar-Taal’ Vidyamandir. He has been a judge for various BMC and school competitions. He accompanied tabla with Shri.Anant Tandel, Shri. Govind Gosavi and telecasted on STAR MAZA as well as on radio.

Guitar and Keyboard

Vishnu K. Shanbhag He is an electronics engineer from Saint Zavier. He provides training in Tabla, Sitar, Violin and Flute (VisharadPratham), Sarod, Santoor. He takes the lessons of Guitar, Keyboard and Violin on western staff notations. He is associated with our institution since 2012. He takes private tutions also at his residence as well as in their private music school.
